DEPARTMENT PROFILE
The department of Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering was established in the year 2009 with an intake of 60. followed by an increase to 90 in the year 2024 DECE designed as a skill empower programme, to enable the students to keep pace with changing technological advances and the students actually learn by doing and progress from basics to higher order skills like installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of electronic and communication equipment. Diploma graduates can start entrepreneurial ventures or can pursue higher studies in national premier institutions.
Programs
Electronics and Communications engineers also conceptualize and oversee the manufacturing of communications and broadcast systems. Electronics and communication engineer use their knowledge, creativity and analytical skills to design, develop and oversee the production of electronic and communication tools and systems. Here are a few activities an electronics and communication engineer perform: Do research, design and develop electronic equipment used in different systems, Look after the manufacturing of communication and broadcast systems, Conceptualise and design electronic equipment like radio, television, computer, Develop control and communications systems. Test designs in order to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness and safety of new prototypes Test and evaluate electronic and communication products, Plan and execute electronics and communication projects.
